Canoe Club Back Door
Acrylic 9 x 12

When I first came to this beach (Anaeho'omalu), I came by boat because there was no road. Years later I kept my kayak here, tied to a Kiawe tree. I'd come down and paddle and watch them building those condos across the bay. In those days the beach by the fish pond was filled with palm trees.  A favorite spot in all its incarnations.

This wonderful snorkeling beach is a nursery place for fish and coral, a wonderful and much loved introductory spot for ocean lovers, and a refuge for sea turtles.
